Coffee is certainly no different. 

Selecting the right colours for your coffee brand is essential as it plays a significant role in shaping the perception of your potential customers. 

I know that there are certain colours that I see in everyday life that make me think of certain brands. 

The visual elements of your branding, which includes the colour palette, help to convey your brand’s identity, style, and message. 

An appropriate colour scheme not only sets you apart from your competitors but also aids in maintaining consistency across your marketing materials and coffee packaging.

For me, a logo plays a crucial role in branding. 

It’s often the first visual representation of a brand, acting as a signpost that helps customers identify and remember it. I can vouch for this first hand because I come across dozens of coffee logos day to day and I always remember certain ones because of the uniqueness or the experience.

This obviously may be a little difficult as you may end up with quite a few opposing colours but it’s a good exercise.

Now, you’re going to want to stand out so copying other colours isn’t what I’d recommend, but rather using these as a guide to what is out there and then using these colours to find an alternative colour palate.

There are a few tools that I’ve used before to come up with colour schemes for various coffee brands that I’ve worked with. 

Firstly, I’d use Canva to collect all of the ideas and make a sort of mood board.

You can then note the colour HEX codes and incorporate them into your brand’s design assets, such as your logo and packaging.

Look for palettes that match your brand values and desired aesthetic, while also considering how these colours will look on your product packaging, website, and promotional materials.

This is something that is specific to your branding, business model and will hopefully evolve over time.

This is obviously a little difficult if you are a new brand and you don’t have any customers yet however you can reach out to friends and family and potential clients or partners.
